Firmware Hack And Firmware updates LG LH/LF Series - Page 7

I bought a LG 32LH3300 but i cant get in to the service menu or start a update.

When i lookup my firmware version it says 1.00.00 so i want to update it to 3.15 for the usb hack but i cant get it to work. For the service menu i tried holding both the menu and the ok button on tv and remote and with updating i tried: in the menu then to options and press fav or 7 7 times but it all does not work.

please help me and thank you in advance.

I turned off the TV and next time I turned it on, the Bluetooth submenu was active. It says I can use it to connect wireless headphones, so I'll look for a set to try it.

Anyway, I'm still trying to find the Tool Option 3 or any other method to activate USB MKV playback. I hope to get an answer or suggestion before the trial time of the NoviiRemote Deluxe is over. Any ideas?

Thanks,

People, be careful in those service menus please! I tried to turn Bluetooth on for fun and it put my TV in a 10-second reset loop. Just barely could get back in and turn Bluetooth off in time. Best case your TV doesn't have the right hardware and the option does nothing.

As for tool option 3, if your TV doesn't have it either the DivX option is in another place or you're out of luck. I assume USB photos and music work on your set, right? (i.e. your USB option in the main menu has only 2 media choices, not 3)

Are there any hacks for the 4.50.00 firmwares?

Do not try to load European firmware (3.15, or any 3.x) on your LH40 or other North American model TV. You will kill it.

You can enter the service menus by sending the right IR remote code. See this guide http://lgusb.wikispaces.com/IR+Hack

My remote lags (sort of).
Product 37LH4010 firmware 3.55 more than 200TV channels.
Sometimes I have to press the buttons on remote more times to have result.
Also, when I'm accessing the USB for movies, the menu (play for example) loads very late.
Tried to change the batteries, same crap happening.

I just bougth in Colombia, southamerica, a LH20R TV; it was manufactured in Korea. I have read several forums and I have downloaded many FW 3.15 to downgrade my 3.24 FW version. I put it into an USB LG_DTV folder. To get access to the tv update software, I press menu, then over option press seven times the number 7.

The problem is that the tv doesn´t recognize the 3.15 or any other FM in my usb to update. it only appears the current software App (R) 3.24 and boot (R) 1.01.

The usb's format is fat32.

The hack works only on EU models.
Be careful and read the tutorial form A to Z.

Is there some kind of change log for different firmware?

My question exactly. LG seem to have removed the firmware downloads from their website.

Bought a male to female USB cable to make it easier to plug my mem stick in as the USB port is more or less centre of the back, however this doesn't work has anyone got a solution?

I have a 42lh2000 with v3.55. I downgraded to v3.15 applied the hack and upgraded to v3.55 again apparently successfully. When I try to show .avi movies I get the message "this file is invalid". Any suggestions?
Scampa: I also have USB extension, ant my stick without any problems.
brodev: "this file is invalid" - because the ratio of the video is not supported.
Thanks Gigipresh for your reply. What do you mean by ratio? As I am an OAP I am not very with it. The hack says .avi files are supported.
Qoute from the user guide:
Quote:

Movie files are supported as follows
Resolution : under 1920x1080 WxH pixels
Frame rate : under 30 frames/sec(1920x1080), under 60 frames/sec(under 1280x720)
G Video Codec : MPEG 1, MPEG 2, MPEG 4, H.264/AVC, DivX 3.11, DivX 4.12, DivX 5.x, DivX 6,
Xvid 1.00, Xvid 1.01, Xvid 1.02, Xvid 1.03, Xvid 1.10-beta1, Xvid 1.10-beta2

Only photo(JPEG), music (MP3) and movie(DAT, MPG, MPEG, VOB,
AVI, DIVX, MP4, MKV, TS, TRP, TP) (Only 32/37/42/47LH49**,
32/37/42/47/55LH50**, 32/37/42/47LH70**, 42/47LH90**,
50/60PS70**, 50/60PS80**, 42/50PQ35**, 42PQ65**,
50PS65**) are supported.
The above taken from the user manual says that avi is supported. Is there something I am missing? I am aware that I can sometimes not see the wood for the trees.
Yes sir, but:
- not everything that has .avi extension is avi encoding
- the movie has to have an accepted ratio (HxW)
Thanks again gigipresh. I think I understand. I don't know what the WxH is. they are just a couple of short videos taken with my wife's coolpix camera.

I simply program my remote with the first LG TV code "0002" from the manual. By pressing the Guide button and entering the 0000 password, the "EZ Adjust" menu pops up.

Incidentally, I've exhausted all LG codes & buttons on this remote and I still can't get the other two service menus ("In-Start" & "In-Stop").
