Hi; today I bough a 32Lh3000, with firmware 3.55. i downgrade to 3.15, apply the hack and then return to 3.55, and after that to the new 3.63: all works fine.
just one question: is it to possibile to identify the panel (if is ips or auo)? from the service menĂ¹ there is something to identify that? thanks

LG 32LH20R-MA made in Argentina, FW 03.24
I enter secret menu via IR (chinese control)
No "TOOL OPTION" found in secret menu.
Any ideas?

Hey, first post here

Found this forum as I was curious about the USB service only port on the back of my 42'' LH2000 TV

This hack seems awesome, but I've just checked the firmware and it's
epak V3.63 and it says on the wiki....

''YOU CAN only downgrade with this method if your firmware is V3.24, V3.37 or V3.40. or V3.55''

So am I out of luck?

Would love to be able to play divx and HD files on TV via usb so any help would be really appreciated!!

It's not worth risking your TV doing the downgrade. Use the IR remote method instead, see

Thanks, I would try that but don't have a S60v3 device

Someone on another forum downgraded from 3.63 to 3.55 then 3.15 and it worked for him on a LH3000 so I might try that....
I did the downgrade from 3.63 to 3.55 and then to 3.15, and all works fine for me; but my original firmware was 3.55, so I don't know if it could change something.

You can downgrade via the Upgrade expert menu.

Download Firmware 3.15 and put in on usbstick included LG_DTV folder put usb stick in tv press menu and go to options dont press ok but press 7 times the fav button, press ok and the tv should be downgrade.

I cannot update the wiki because somehow i am blocked so i cannot edit that wiki.

The reason I am asking is because originally my set was on 3.40, and after performing the usb hack and upgrading to 3.55 everything is working great, except I cannot seem to change the aspect ratio while watching a movie through the USB port. Before I upgraded the green button on the remote would give you lots of options as well as power saving, but now it just controls low - medium - high power saving modes.

I'm hoping by reverting to 3.40 I'll get that function back.

Any ideas?
Cheers.

Hi,

I have similar problem on my 42 lh 5000. Downgrade doesn't work:/ I have ""Green Eye-Check" information on tv, and remote button "Energy Saving" only switch "on" this information. I can't change energy saving settings.
:/

Cheers Devil, I downgraded to 3.55 via the restore factory settings method, then downgraded to 3.15, had to do it twice on the TV Software Update (expert) screen as I think the first time it only copied to TV memory, without installing.

USB Hack worked!

Upgraded back to 3.55 > 3.63

Everything seems to be working

Thanks man!!

Don't think anyone has tried that but if you're brave enough to risk bricking your TV, let me know how it goes!

I also have problem with "energy saving" in my LG 42LH3000 (originally fw 3.40, upgrade 3.63). I reverting to 3.40 that all function back. With fw3.40 all work perfectly.

I have menu screen "Green Eye-Check" with "Sensor Data: (number)"; "Backlight: (number)"; and "OK". I can't switch off energy saving mode with using green button "Energy Saving". I have to go to main "Menu".
It's Polish version tv, but I think it is not important.

Also my model is Polish version (42LH3000-ZA.BEUDLJG). Display panel AUoptronic, made in Turkey. Is it really a coincidence?

Kadajio,
you try to revert to the original factory firmware with the LG remote, there's no risk involved.

1. Open MENU
2. Go to OPTIONS (but don't press OK, just highlight the OPTIONS)
3. Press the number"9" in your remote 7 times.
After it should say "Restore program completed". This (should) revert you back to the original factory firmware.

usually this should get you back to a version lower than 3.63

Let us know the results.
Never mind that. From user reports it seems YOU CAN downgrade from 3.63 to 3.15

Hi dr!
Coul you tell me what panel type do you have on your panel? LGD/AUO?

Then I decided to do the v3.15 trick. I followed the guide, downloaded the SW file, created the folder, but nothing, I still can't find a way to downgrade my SW to 3.15. The TV won't downgrade by itself, the FAV button thing didn't work, and in the Service menus there's no option to upgrade.
Is it really possible to do it with this TV?

Thanks in advance.

Back to the how to tell if yours is AUO or IPS panel.
After reading this it seem all 47LH3000 models only come with IPS which is a relif to me, after all the bad things I've heard about the AUO's.

LCD Panel Specification
47/42/37/32 LH7000- LGD 10Bit CCFL
LH5000- LGD 10Bit 47 "CCFL , 32/37/42 - EEFL
LH4900 - LGD 10Bit 32/37/42 - EEFL, 47 - CCFL
LH4000 - LGD 10Bit 47 "CCFL , 32/37/42 - EEFL
LH3000- 32"/37"/42" - (LGD/ AUO), 47" LGD Only //LGD(10Bit) (AUO-8Bit) // 47 "CCFL ,32/37/42 - EEFL
LH2000 - LGD/AUO (37" LGD Only LC370WXN) ,22" (LGD/COM), 19" (LGD/AUO) // 42/37/32 (EEFL), 26"-19" CCFL // 8Bit

LU5000 - LGD , CCFL , 8Bit
LU4000 - 22" (AUO MVA), 19" (LGD TN) , CCFL , 8Bit

Since you're on 3.63, you need to download V3.15 and downgrade.

Downgrade guide is at wiki page.

LG 32LH70YR-MH made in Argentina (Korea), FW 03.24
I enter service menu via IR WinLrc + IN_START
TOOL OPTION 1 and TOOL OPTION 2 OK
but No "TOOL OPTION 3" found.
USB is OK but not DIVX HD

Any ideas?

Good Afternoon,
I bought the model 32LH3000 one month ago and I have also already modified the voices which open the AVI/HD functions. While I was looking the other voices in the menĂ¹ I saw that on the panel model was written Sharp instead of AOC or LGD. Is there anybody who know something more about that? Is it possible that a Sharp panel was mounted on a LG LCD TV?
Thx
