Having some very strange Issues with BenQ831

I'm an AMX/Crestron programmer and am having issues with a pair of BenQ sp831 projectors.

First, their rs232 protocol says that X001 is a power toggle.
When I fire it to the projector, it MAY turn on, but certainly will not turn off.

I've never seen RS232 be intermittent before...I'd say it was the projector having issues, but BOTH have the same control issues.

Anyone else have this issue? or Do you know of a way to fix it?

I am not familiar with their product but have you tried using the other commands (discrete on/off)? If those work you can makeup some generic toggle programming.

Very strange that X001 is a toggle even basic protocol would say that's an ON command?!?

Ran into the exact same problem with an existing BenQ SP831 projector this week. Don't use the carriage returns on any of the commands. BenQ's RS-232 protocol manual is erroneous. Just send X001X for power toggle. There is not a discrete power on/ off that I could find.
