AKAI, fixed PSU and now quality issues.

I just got a broken AKAI. The TV would not power on. I read somewhere about this TV being bad for caps in the PSU. So, I found and replaced 3 bulging, one of which had leaked. I replaced with 25v high temp.
I have no idea of the picture quality before the power failure. At this point there is yellow blotches and poor mixing of lighter colors. i.e. faces have yellow patches on the edges, clouds are outlined in yellow and have some yellow blotches throughout. This is really faint at times leaving decent quality.
Could picture quality also be PSU related? Thanks.

What is the date of manufacture on the set? Only a few of the older LCD's really looked great even when new.

These sets never really looked great, it was an entry level set 3yrs ago. If you bought it cheap and DIY repair enjoy your find FWIW my living room WS65513 isn't perfect but I bought it for $100 on Craigslist and DIY repair.

I did clean the screen this morning with alcohol sprayed onto a microfiber towel. Not much improvement but at least it`s clean. I have also been trying some different sources. Again, not much improvement.
Last night I was thinking under or over volting something would cause these quality issues. I was planning on removing back cover, power up the set and probe some of the connectors from the PSU to verify voltages. I remember there being voltages printed on PSU board next to some of the connector headers.
Thanks for the replies and I`ll think entry level tv instead. Thanks again.

Update:
TV has been on now for 6 hours and quality has certainly improved. It`s not perfect but a noticeable change none the less. The yellowing is so faint now that I have to try to find it.
What could be responding to heat that causes this improvement?
Thanks

Probably the panel itself is warming up.

Thank you for the input on this one. I sit and watch the tv now and still think some part of it needs serviced. What causes this yellowing? poor quality? Brand new in the store these tv`s looked like this? Hmm...
How is the service menu accessed? or more importantly how do I get the service manual?

There is still an issue in PSU. I looked today through the vents directly in front of PSU and two of the new caps are bulging. What the? I guess i`ll have to pull it again and replace at least the visually bad ones. Maybe check some resistors or diodes. Once again I am beginning to think the quality may improve once these power issues are resolved.
