Did You Hear About the Morgans?

So, anyone else excited to see this one? I think I threw up in my mouth when I saw the trailer on TV last night. I'm not sure it could get any worse then a pairing of Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant.

I pray for the poor souls who get dragged to this with their wives/girlfriends.

The amount of money I would need to be paid to sit through this is just enough for me to remake it as I see fit - meaning the two lead characters are actually evil robots that need to be hunted down and melted by Jason Bourne so as to never inflict harm on humanity again.

Hmmm... I think I would rather stick the bottle of Coke I am drinking right up my ass instead of watching this one. Unfortunately, my wife loves SJP and Hugh Grant, so Lord help me.

Christmas family (wife & daughters) tradition includes going to see a movie in the afternoon and I'm guessing this will be the one. I'm not expecting Schindler's List, but hoping it will be light hearted and (hopefully) funny.

If I leave the theater happier then I did last year after seeing Marley and Me, I'll consider the event a success.

Michael Phillips of Chicago Tribune (and At the Movies) gave it 0 stars.

Rightfully so.

I don't get the popularity of Sarah Jessica Parker. I don't know any man that thinks she is attractive, yet she always plays roles where men are in love with her. To me, she is butt ugly...

I agree with you 100% on this. I think for women, it shows you can be a star regardless of looks.

Sure I did. Yesterday, they had twins, right?

I stand corrected. There is one man besides Matthew Broderick who finds SJP "sexy."

Go see Sherlock Holmes instead. DVDTalk calls this movie "rancid."

I think the jury is still out on whether MB really feels that way. It may just be a front.

Something happened to that dude after being Ferris.

Haha none taken. I think it's the fact I grew up watching her. Remember sexy is not the same as beautiful but I do understand.

To quote Family Guy.. her face looks like a foot.

Aw, you're all just jealous, making fun of a woman who likely makes more money in one week than you and your spouse together make in a year, and who has too many other things to do than to waste time on AVSForum cutting down people for the way they were born.

(And, no, I'm no relation or friend of hers.)

But I hear the movie stunk really badly.

You miss the point, and make goofy financial assumptions as well. In movies she is portrayed as being highly desirable to men, and the point is that in reality, she obviously is not considered attractive by most men...

Perhaps. But I still think the snarky comments come from jealousy or some weird need to make fun of her.

This is a boring film. The worst Hugh Grant has made.
