ATI (Amplifier Technologies Inc.) 3000 Series Amplifiers (AT3002, AT3005 & AT3007)

Are there any forum members who own the ATI AT3002, AT3005 or AT3007 amps?

I'm interested in hearing about any thoughts, reviews, comparisons or issues. How do they sound compared to Sunfire, Krell, Anthem, Parasound or any other amplifiers?

The AT3007 seem like such an amazing amp, but there's almost nothing written about it. Why is that?

I haven't heard the 3000 series, but I have the AT2007 and I'm very happy with it.
It's running two B&W 604s2 and a LCR 6s2 in addition to 4 Anthony Gallo A Diva TI. The 604s2 is known to drop very low in the impedance and are therefore hard to control, but the ATI have no problems.

I haven't had any other power amps, just intergrated so i can't really compare. But when you look inside you can see it's real quality. ATI also make amps for other brands also AFAIK.

Because it's a SECRET the audio mafia families don't want you to know about!

I wonder about the AT3007 with those modules crammed in so close to each other. I'd get an AT3005 and an AT2002 for 7 channels.

Kingwa is another secret.

The only reason I bump this is because this is the only post on the forum I could find on these amps and I intend to buy them soon so I'm hoping others with chime in.

They make amps for Outlaw and other companies.

ATI makes great amps. Also make amps for other brands. Amps are made in the U.S.A. They also own B&K now. I always wanted an ATI amp but the timing and price never worked out! I'm sure you would be happy with one of there amps. They were pretty popular amps 8 -10 years ago and were reviewed in all the magazines with positive reviews.

Where is the love the ATI Amps? My dealer has always talked very highly of them, but it seems like he may be the only one. I may be in the market for an amp that must have true balanced input and I'm wondering if one from ATI might be the ticket.

I only have the 1500 models, (2) 1505s and (1) 1502. Very well built and top notch quality. All 3 of my amps are over 10 years old and were bought used and still work and sound great.

They also have a 7 year warranty and have be know to fix their amps out of warranty.

We're too busy enjoying listening to music and watching movies on our systems! smile.gif

I am very interested in the AT3003. Has anyone AB'd these with Parasound Halo (A21, 31 or 51) or Bryston (4B or 6Bsst2) or even McIntosh?

I am in imminent need for either a 3 or 5 channel true balanced amp. The options out there are few, and the ATI and Outlaw (made by ATI) are what I keep coming back to.

Anyone interested in ATI should check out Classic Audio Parts, who is an authorized seller so you get the full 7 yr warranty.

As mentioned, ATI has been around for 30 years. The amps are made in California. But they are kind of quiet.

When HTM reviewed the Revel Salon2, they asked Kevin Voecks to select an amp from HTM's inventory to pair with the Salon2. Kevin Voecks selected a 150wpc ATI amp. Yes, 150 watts per channel ATI.

They are sworn to secrecy. Literally. Legally. biggrin.gif Understandable for economic reasons.

But words have been tossed around that ATI has made some amps for Mark Levinson, Lexicon, JBL, Outlaw, Cary Audio, Cinepro, Earthquake, and now Theta and B&K since ATI has acquired both. Of course, the built specifications may slightly vary for each company, but the core is still ATI.

The specs of the ATI amps are impeccable: -123dB SNR from 20Hz-20kHz, -100dB crosstalk from 20Hz-20kHz - note the full spectrum spec, instead of the 1kHz spec. And their power ratings are very conservative.

I just bought a brand new pair of B&W 802D2 piano gloss black (ETA next Monday). The owner of the dealer asked me what amps I will be pairing with the 802D2.

I told him "ATI".

He said, "ATI is okay, not the best, but okay".

I said, "What do you think about the amps from Mark Levinson, Lexicon, Theta, and Cary Audio?"

He said, "Oh, now those are awesome, definitely among the best!"

I said, "Well, ATI makes some of the amps for all those companies on the inside".

He said, "Oh, really, I had no idea! eek.gif " biggrin.gif
