HELP!!! New Oppo BDP-83 And No Picture!

As the title says, I just received a new BDP-83 from Amazon on Wednesday. A friend came over the same night to pick up my old PS3 that I sold him, as it was needed for a family Christmas gift.

I just installed the BDP-83 in my system, simply reconnecting the HDMI cable that had been connected between the PS# and my Onkyo Pro Sc-886 pre-pro. It is connected to a 720P projector.

When I started up the player, I get an "EASY SETUP" readout on the Oppo, and the pre-pro sees audio coming from it, but there is no picture.

I have checked, and rechecked, and reseated the HDMI cable. Powered off both units, reconnected them, powered them back off, etc., with no change. I have a house full of people here for the holiday who were all waiting to watch Public Enemy and Angels and Demons on Blu Ray and cannot play them. I am not exactly popular at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This may sound really weird. It might not fix the problem too. Try turning on the projector first and wait like 10 seconds. Then turn on the Oppo. Could be the evil HDCP. Just a guess. Also try connecting your Oppo to another hdtv that has HDMI input.
