Looking for a receiver that inputs HDMI but outputs that signal via Component

I am looking for a receiver (such as a Denon 1610) which will allow me to input various signals via HDMI (PS3, DirecTV HD DVR, etc) but will output those same video signals via Component. Unfortunately, the TV I want to connect this to does not have HDMI, it only has component inputs. Do such receivers even exist? I know there are other items that can do this such as THIS, but I'd prefer it to be in a receiver.

Thanks in advance.

HDMI to component exists in one product I know of, the Emotiva pre pro, which has not shipped yet I think.

And there's going to be limitations. It likely can't output a component signal if the HDMI signal is protected.

I am guessing the easier solution would be to just buy a new TV.

I can think of a number of compelling reasons to upgrade the display. "Easy" isn't one of them.

Occam's razor says that the simplest solution is often the best solution. Buying a new tv would be the simplest solution.

But maybe not the cheapest

I dunno, getting a TV with 3 HDMI inputs sounds like it could end up being cheaper than getting a receiver that can do what I want it do to (if one existed, which doesn't seem to be the case).

Well, if you were willing to cope with component video, why not simply connect all devices with component video? Does your receiver switch component video (thus making things a bit simpler.)

If you're wanting to keep the TV (or if you are a CRT front projector person), you could get an HDFury. It takes in HDMI, resolves all the HDCP, and spits out component. Works awesome - I have a buddy who uses one.

Then you could use any receiver you want.
Costs about $150 right now.

I think the current NAD receivers, T7x5 models do.

The corollary to Occam's razor says "Any excuse to buy new Home Theater equipment is a good excuse."

There is no such thing and even if there was it probably would be forbidden with the copyright protection that comes as part of the game with HDMI.

That was correct before the Emotiva UMC-1. As I mentioned above, or thought I did, the UMC-1 does have this feature. I assume it can only convert non protected streams as I also I think I mentioned above
