Hi,

I am trying to play music on my HTPC via SPIDF to AVR (Onkyo 607).

Everything works fine when I have my TV on (HTPC HDMI -->AVR --> LCDTV)
, however, as soon as i turn off my TV, the clipping sound issue occurs.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H, everything is onboard.

HDMI out shouldn't have anything to do with SPIDF out right?

any suggestions?

i don't want to leave my TV on when i just want to listen to music on my HTPC
