So I just got a Blu-Ray player and now I think the rest of my system is inadequate.
First thing I will look at is speakers. Have a BIC Acoustech H100 sub and I think that's fine.
Currently have Yamaha Natural Sound A528 mains (6" woofer, 3/4" tweeter) and AC40X center channel (2x5.25" woofer, 1" tweeter) with a small couple no-name surrounds.
In your expert opinions, would I be better off with matched set of 5 speakers, like the Energy Take Classic or Polk RM series (which strike me as overpriced), or should I go the economy (and wife pleasing) route and just upgrade the surrounds?
I have read that having all 5 speakers of the same brand/series generally makes for a better sound and that seems logical to me.
