Hi Everyone. Im new to this forum cause Ive simply run out of ideas here. Ive read all over the net and not once have i run into someone with the exact same problem as i have.
I have a Toshiba 62hmx84 that a while ago just stopped working. the front lights were solid RED and nine flashing GREEN lights... it would do this over and over Eight times i think before it would just eventually turn itself off. So i went out and bought a new bulb for it thinking that would solve my problem and of course the same damn thing is still happening.
The thing is.. once in a while i can unplug the unit from the wall and plug it back in and it will work for as long as i leave the tv turned on. then if i go to turn it off and let the bulb cool down completely it will stop working again and start the whole "nine blinking green lights" all over again. So once in a while if im lucky i can unplug it and plug it back in for a few hours of watching it. besides that its pretty random. There is also a pretty loud buzzing sound coming from what seems to be where the lamp is at.
Does anyone have any idea why my tv is acting this way? I could understand if it wasn't working at all but once in a while it works and keeps working for as long as i don't turn it off. The buzzing sound however is constant while its working.
Any Help is appreciated. I just cant believe Toshiba are selling such an expensive piece of junk. Ive really lost faith in their products.
