Can't Find 2.1 Speakers With Wireless Remote

I've been trying to find some 2.1 Speakers for my PC, but it HAS to have a wireless remote. I don't want to get into the why right now, but I'm about ready to tear my hair out!

All I've been able to find is a wireless speaker set by Cables to Go that pop and squeak if there's anything around them that's wireless, and a $400+ set by Creative... (whats the point in that when you could have bought a theater system for that price!?)

I could really use some help guys. I just can't find anything and I've been looking everywhere I know about, but I don't know my way around the net THAT well, in terms of shopping audio. I'm not even sure what all my options are, for the kind of money I want to spend.

Please help?

Someone just suggested I use a hi-fi (or a shelf system) with component in.

I never thought of using one of those... but it seems like both a good idea and a bad idea. For what you pay for those, I'm sure you have to sacrifice sound quality, since they're including a radio, CD player, and anything else I don't need with that price so the speakers would have to take a hit in quality to get the price down. What kind of quality can you get for under $150 in one of those, that has a decent a audio in plug?

Anyone have anysuggestions? Do I have any other options?

I wish I could get a 5.1 receiver, then start with only 2.1 speakers... but that's beyond my budget.

I'd buy a used one and find a pair of speakers on the cheap, but I don't know anything about audio hardware. I'd have no idea what's good or bad.

I have a subwoofer from an old pair of PC speakers that went bad... but it was a completely separate piece, so I kept it. The subwoofer is by a company called Bassbites, and it has a 3.5 and R/L component in, volume/power knob, and says "15VAC @ 2.4A 50-60Hz". I don't really know enough about speakers to know if those specs are good or bad, but I don't remember ever having a problem with it. It measures 7x7x16 and sounds decent to me, which surprises me because the speakers that came with it were gawd awful. I should have burned them just to make the world a better place.
