My dad's Sanyo Z2000 popped a bulb about 6 months ago. He replaced the bulb then, but didn't realize he needed to also reset the lamp counter. The Z2000 doesn't "light up" at all now, and the power light blinks red and the bulb light blinks yellow. The bulb looks new (unlike the one that popped 6 months ago). Looking at the manual, it seems that you can't reset the timer without actually seeing the menu. Does he just need a new bulb, or is something more sinister going on here? Could the PJ be refusing to power up the bulb due to the accumulated hours on the counter? How can the counter be reset when you can't see the menu?
Thanks!
