I can find AVSforum on the stand alone (pay) version of ForumRunner. It seems like its unlisted or something.

What about BlackBerry users? BerryBlab is a great option. Simple server-side plug-in. I saw the other thread on it (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1229392) and don't understand why you decline to install a plug-in that many people would enjoy? Nobody is forced to pay for the software, but if a user chooses to pay, that is their option and it is a nice add-on to offer. It doesn't cost the forum anything and the software is still free to use to view the forums. Posting and additional features cost $2.99, but that's not exactly expensive.

PS - no affiliation w/BerryBlab - simply a satisfied owner of the program.

We've recently announced that the iPad app is complete pending Apple approval and an Android version is in development. Stay tuned for future developments.

Hi...

Mostly because when we looked at such plugins (Tapatalk, ForumRunner, BarryBlab) they will not work with the customizations we needed to make to the site software for it to run a site this size. In fact, in testing we actually brought AVS Forum down by mistake with just 3 people testing it. Not a good thing.

It is not as simple as a plugin when you get to having to run custom code to make things works. Most forums are much smaller and can run the stock Vb software.

Just popped in to see if there was tapatalk support. This is one of the few forums I visit that don't seem to have it (but at least I can use the mobile version).

Looking forward to the Android App....will the announcement be made in this section? I don't pop into the "operations center" very often, but will keep an eye on it if I need to.

No estimate at this time. Announcements can be seen from all areas of the forum.

Okay, I have the Tapatalk Pro app on my Droid right now (It was recently added to the market). When I search through the available Tapatalk supported forums I do not find AVS. AVS is on vBulletin software, Tapatalk supports vBulletin 3.7.x/3.8.x/4.0.x.

This seems a dead issue, but I'm tossing in another request for Tapatalk support.

I have the AVS app, but rarely use it, since it requires breaking out of my normal Safari "flow" for this one forum.

But I just bought Tapatalk to try with some other forums. As more forums use it, it's easier to make this a frequently used app, and nit have to bounce from app to app for each different forum.

Personally I've found dedicated forum apps to be cluttering and none of them even come close to the features Tapatalk has. As far as security issues, I Googled "Tapatalk vulnerability" = 5 results and "Tapatalk security issues" = 1 result. The result links were old and some were off topic. I think there were a couple of problems with Tapatalk a few months ago but they have all been addressed and it looks like Tapatalk has excellent support. I'm just hoping that Tapatalk has enough credibility now to make everyone take a second look.

That's great that AVS supports iPhone users but there are a lot more Droid phones (Tablets) selling everyday... it doesn't appear to be a fad. These days I use my phone a lot more than my laptop.

The Tapatalk signatures can be modified to be shortened or turned off.

Because of how many third party hacks are installed on AVS, even the ForumRunner app we're using took weeks of custom coding. These aren't just "plug and play" like you'd think. When we last tried, it took the whole site down for several minutes until we uninstalled it.

I would also like to see tapatalk installed...as I use an android tablet and the android phone app will not work with these devices.
Give me an android tablet app or tapatalk...eather would make things alot easier.
