LMAO! I all of a sudden don't feel so bad about my Chevy!

Perhaps you guys are right, I'm not in tune to the actual license plate number of the original and all those details. One could argue that modifications were made after acquiring it in Casino but even I will acknowledge how much of a stretch that would be. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter because one way or the other it's a nod to Goldfinger even if it's only us fans giving the nod. Cool moment in the movie IMO! Someone posted that it was cheesy or campy and I would probably agree with that in general but IMO, if there is a tasteful and appropriate way to add a little cheese, that was it.

Anybody else looking forward to the next Bond movie yet? biggrin.gif

hehehe... There's a guy nearby who has a DBS convertible. One day at a red light cops stopped by and started to talk to him about the car and stuff... When the light went green he accelerated waaaayyyyyy too fast with of course an amazing noise.... What did the cops do? They laughed!... Life's not fair!!! wink.gif ok back to Bond now... smile.gif

Although performance-wise AM is not on top of the heap, but nothing surpasses its beauty.wink.gif

Like the Astons, the Jags are not the top performers (in terms of speed and handling).
But they are gorgeous, to be sure.cool.gif

I only mentioned them because Morpheo said nothing comes close to looking like the Astons. The Jaguar look very similar.

They look indeed similar, and in some ways oddly similar (rear lights for example)... Astons are still prettier though smile.gif

I love Jags, too and have admired them since their XK120 days. All of the XKs were beautiful automobiles. In fact Jaguar's styling has always been stellar. Better yet, Jaguars are in a price range affordable by many mere mortals, The same certainly can't be said of the beautiful but incredibly pricy Aston Martins. What the hell, though, a boy can dream can't he?smile.gif

They should....the current generations was originally drawn by Ford designers when they owned both brands.
They have been tweaked a bit over the years, both mechanically and aesthetically, but not too much.

Both brands need more current technology in their engines.
However, they no longer have the Ford capital to do so.
As it is, they are doing the best they can under the circumstances.
