They call it "VIPs" now. Never been. Really liking the area, especially now that it's getting warmer.

Ordered new subs, which should be in this week, so I'll have some new pics to post likely this weekend.

Edited original post with updated pics and gear.

I still can't get over the view that you have. Every time I look at your posts, it still seems like its the first time seeing it. Oh, and you're HT setup is darn good too!

BTW, I'm excited to see what you do for window treatments, I'm guessing whatever you do, it'll look great.

Well...I guess that's a testament to what I've done, as they're already in and you didn't see them.

Though they are retracted, you can see the shades at the top of the windows.

Well I think he was more refering to window tinting or something like that. I like your approach better though because it's not permanent. When you want plenty of sunlight in the room you can just raise the shades. When it's movie time just lower them and you have sufficient shade. I'll agree with him, I'm quite envious of your setup, I love the location and the style. One of the best setups on the boards taking everything in account, easily.

Apparently I completely missed the pictures on the second page

lol...all good. You can see them in the new pics in the first post, too, though they're at the top of the windows, not lowered.

Thanks to both of you for the really nice compliments.

Nice set up, what kind of wires are you using?

Thanks. All my gear is listed in the first post, but I'm not sure what specifically you're asking about. The speaker cable in the third pic is Emotiva X-series (front 3). I used Monoprice speaker cable for the side/back surrounds. Interconnects are Tartan.

Any new pictures or updates to your system? I must say the pad looks beautiful: I especially like the red GIK acoustic paneling at the front. Your setup has inspired me to look into doing something similar!

Thanks. Nothing really new to update. Been spending more time enjoying it, though.

I've been thinking what any new upgrade would be, but haven't settled on anything. Maybe a Velodyne SMS-1 or something. I would guess that the next thing to "replace" would be to setup up from a receiver-as-a-pre/pro to a legit pre-pro. Also, I'll end up adding an amp to the rear two at some point before that (current run off the receiver).

Ha! I can almost see my office from some of those views!

Wonderful looking home theater, but I'll give you more props on the home! It's beautiful man, congrats!

Thanks, brother. I've got a new pre/pro on the way, so when it arrives next week. I'm going to take some more/better pictures of the whole thing, I think.

Updated my front sound stage to the new Aperion Verus Grand series. LOVE them.

More pics in the original post in this thread.

Very, very nice set up!

I have to say, I'm glad someone finally decided to do away with the Emotiva bars all together. Even the black bars never looked right to me. I think it looks so much cleaner without them. I'm currently without an amp, but I've always wanted to see how they looked with black allen head button/cap screws - kind of like the original Acurus pieces.

I just noticed you don't have shots of your dual Rythmik SEs. I'm curious where you have those.

Yup...you're right. Totally forgot to include a pic of that. Took one this morning:

They're behind the couch...was very limited in placement options, unfortunately. Simply isn't enough room to put them anywhere else.

First off, you're place is excellent. That view alone must be worth the mortgage! How are those Verus Grand Towers treating you? a significant upgrade from the 6-T's?

Integrating this type of gear into a modern condo and still keeping it looking modern is no small feat. Congrats on making it work!

Significant, yes. The 6T's are great, but to me, the Verus Grands are in a league of their own. Hell...I would have upgraded them just for the smaller footprint alone. The 6T's are HUGE. Great speakers, but I'm totally in love with the Verus. Eventually, I'd like to replace my surrounds with Verus bookshelves.

Thanks for the compliments...I really appreciate it!

Hey Roger,

You had a beautiful place before, this one is even nicer!

I checked out that blik website you referenced in Brolic's thread, it's really cool, thanks for the info!

You gotta have us over for some Chicago style pizza and beer, we promise we'll behave!!!

Haha...the more the merrier!

I love Blik. They're exhausting to put up, but totally worth it when you do. I keep telling myself I'm going to put one up in my house, but can never decide what or where.
