Scott Pilgrim vs The World - Page 2

This movie gets better every time! I'm in lesbians with it.

Yup. It's cleverly written, directed and acted.

Its a movie I can watch over and over again. The jokes are as dense as a great Simpsons' episode. My daughter and I quote this movie as much as we can. I've already had two opportunities to say, when asked "where is that from?" to yell "my brain!". I will say that the film's resolution is disappointingly lame but it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the rest of the movie.

I watched this a couple of times shortly after it came out but haven't seen it since so I just added it to my NetFlix queue. One of the more enjoyable I've seen in the last few years and definitely worth re-watching for me.

No love for Kick Ass? I'd throw it into that sort of mix.

I don't know what sort of marketing Kick Ass got, so maybe it wasn't actually a sleeper, I dunno. But it's a hilarious movie. And of course Hit Girl is one of the all time super-hero characters.

Suckerpunch was horrible, SP and KA were awesome. My friends and I basically quote SP non stop.

SPunch lacked story, but the CGI were pretty awesome. Just sit back, turn the sound up and watch some sweet looking ladies kick butt.

When I first watched Scott Pilgrim, I thought it was just unbearably wierd. But, based on comments here I decided to try it again. I turned out that, when I'd ripped the DVD (I can only watch them ripped so I have to go through the hassle of ripping every rental), I must have accidentally ripped it such that some sort of voice over commentary track was active. Since I only ripped the movie, not the disc, I didn't realize that it wasn't actually like that. It's not a real commentary track, so I thought it was really how it was. Having watched it the right way, it makes a lot more sense now.

This is one of the rare movies where I could see that being normal or part of the presentation. Glad you got it sorted out. One day I have to go back and rip the commentary and check that out - should be interesting.
