Which sub hits hardest for movies...
FV15HP or the F25 ? ? ?
Overall, the FV15HP is a bit louder.
The FV15HP has a bit more power at 20hz.
The F25 goes deeper and has a more detail at 20hz.
The FV15HP has a fatter sound and the F25 has a leaner, tighter sound (especially around 20hz). With explosions, you perceive the full sound as more impact. With kick drums, you perceive the tighter sound as more impact.
With lots of room gain supporting the bottom end (closed room, corner loaded, firm walls), I personally preferred the F25 for both music and movies, more so with music.
Without the room gain (open room on one side or not corner loaded), I think the FV15HP would have the advantage.
Also, the FV15HP is significantly lighter and is available in the piano finish, which is really nice.
Also, getting 2 subs is essential for good sound in many situations, due to dead spots.Edited by rcohen - 12/6/13 at 7:00am
