After searching & learning all about plasma/lcd tvs & buying a plasma, I'm looking at my older HT setup & wondering if I need to upgrade my receiver.
When I bought my Onkyo TX-DS797, I didn't know what I was buying but it didn't have HDMI & HDMI wasn't even in my mind ... if out at all or out at all in my price-point!
But, I'm thinking of upgrading my center channel speaker, my receiver & then my satellite box -- and since HDMI is a big part of that, it appears to me that I should be looking at HDMI receivers! [I only run HDMI from the DVD player to the LCD TV & I think OPTICAL audio ... and my sat rec'vrs don't have any hdmi]
I'm fine staying with ONKYO as I like their deal although it's a bit confusing sometimes on changing listening choices but I think that's either me being dumb or ignorant!
These look like good potential choices:
Are the above reasonable options to consider or should I try and push my price point up further? Would prefer not to do the latter ...
I'd really like to have IPOD integration into this this system as well...
