Any Denon news from CES 2010???

Am curious is there is any news from Denon at CES 2010 -- lots of news about gadgets and 3D and displays from many sources -- really heavy on gadgets.

Actually, I am hoping for a successor to the AVP with the latest bangs and whistles like HDMI 1.4 and HD radio if the AVP did not have HD radio (I forget). This tried and true A/V piece has been proven, so a new model with minor upgrades would be very interesting to me.

Yep...I think that is it. Not much in the A/V industry at CES this year. 3D Bluray is the biggest thing. Lots of TV's with "apps". A few HDMI 1.4 receivers and players. Its all about phones, tablets, netbooks, and "apps" it seems.

I really like that Denon combo....but it is pricey and it does not look like you can use the internal amp for SB and send the fronts out of the preouts. Hopefully they allow it in the release version. Might be worth having in the bedroom. But it does have HDMI 1.4, Audyssey DSX, and network streaming as well as USB digital iPod connectivity.

Denon is showing their new AVRs by invitation only @ the Venetian Hotel.
I saw 5 new AVRs replacing their lower half AVR lineup from the 2310 and down. Delivery is May/July-2010. I will post more details when I have some downtime.

Look forward to it. Did they give any reason where there is no DSX upgrade for their Flagship AVP? Or if a replacement AVP with DSX, Pllz would be fourthcoming?

Not just DSX and PIIz but HDMI 1.4 to carry it into the future -- Denon engineering can do it (a slightly revised AVP).

I have waited over 8 months for the McIntosh pre-pro (MX150) and it is still perhaps months away (IMHO, they should have borrowed from Denon engineering since they are owned by the same corporations), so I hope in the mean time that Denon engineering puts out a new AVP with the latest engineering that will keep it up to date for years to come (ok--a few years to come)...

I was wondering if you had any more additional information. I noticed you posted some information over on the general CES 2010 receiver thread, but that didn't look like much more than what you implied here.

Any chance you could fill us in? I'm looking at the the 2310, but by the time I get to buying one (April), I'm thinking I should just wait if it's worth it...
