A complete copy will be the same size as the original disc: 25-50GB. It's relatively quick, working as fast as the devices allow: copying off the disc and into a file.
You can save some space by copying the main feature only, dropping audio tracks, etc.
Reencoding with DVDFab, Handbrake, etc, can reduce the size but will take hours. It's CPU intensive and so depends on your PC.
