Could you probably check what's written on the Box rregarding HDMI input? Is it 1.4 which i assume?

I assume this is the $6000 c9000 from the silver bezel...I hope I'm wrong as this is awful. I may just stick with the ccfl 750 as the 2010 model is 55" vs 52". It never looks that bad.

I was (and still am) a fan of the UNXXB8500 after doing extensive research and finally tinkering with one of them in a recent trip to the states, but man OH MAN do the new Samsung lineups suck bigtime compared to LG's 2010 CES releases.... on paper at least.

Ugly bezels, ugly stands, low local dimming choices in models (mostly edge lit beauty garbage)... what the heck was Samsung thinking?

At least LG has it right with the LE9500 and LE8500 hopefully. Beautiful, almost bezel-less minimal and classic design with local dimming to boot.

Can't wait!

Screw you Samsung, you got cocky with last year's success... hopefully LG pumps more $$ from profit into R&D for the next gen of panels in 2011 and onward.

That's the best preview I've seen so far, but man, that interview sounded rehearsed!

I wonder if there will be any improvements to second generation 240Hz technology?

I am still waiting on some info on the C8000. Curious to see if it will hold a candle to the 8500.

Sure you can, but could you get it for $2798 when it first came out?
Of course these are going to be expensive as hell. That is the price of being an early buyer and you pay for bragging rights.

The 8500 has been out what, like 6 months or so (end of summer). Just think about how much cheaper these sets will be on sale for in 6 months.

You are right, the longer you wait the better the deal.

Has anyone heard anything at all about the Samsung C630?

Is it just me or that TV looks too small to be a 55"?
That's more like the 40 inch model. Looks darn good to me. My 55 has been shipped. Can't wait!

Oh man, I can't wait. My old Toshiba 720p rear projection TV died out at the beginning of February, and I've had the c630 preordered from Amazon since the 15th. Its good to know I won't have to wait much longer.

Is there any cheaper 52in+ TV below the LN55C630 ?

So just to sum up... If somebody consider the B700 series is not worth the upgrade (200Hz) over the B650, and the B6000 is not worth the upgrade either (Thinner)...

Which is the model I should reccomend this season to those friends who care more about PQ + price than 200Hz or thickness, just as I did last year with the B650? I mean... Which is the TRUE mainstream TV for those who care a lot about PQ, and want to buy a new TV, but don't want to sell a kidney in the process. The C650 I suppose? Are the new C6xxxx / C7xx / C7xxx series better than the C650 beyond Hz and depth in a way that's worth the money?

OBVIOUSLY nobody I know gives a damn about 3D, in case you wonder, and forget about C8xx(x) and beyond. Those Tv's are not mainstream. Their target is rich people or technofreaks.

C650 then?

I'd go for the C6500 because I think blacklevel will be better than the C650.
