hey guys, just wondering, which do you guys suggest are better brands?

im looking to change my car audio speakers, so i need a pair of 6x9's and a pair of 6.5's, at the moment i have Alpine Type-R's SPR-69's and a pair of SPR-17s, so i was looking to upgrade...any suggestions, because i was thinking of either

DLS
Infinity
Boston Acoustics
Focal
MB Quartz

which one of these would you suggest are the best brand for car speakers?
(lets put budget aside and just decide if money wasnt an issue)

Jl audio comps are nothing special

they're higher end subs are pretty nice(w6,w7) but they're overpriced and there's better stuff out there for the money

what's wrong with the type r's?

I went with all Infinity Kappa and they sound very good. There is also Infinity Perfect which cost more.

I'm running pioneer A series coaxial up front with 260 watt max and pioneer G 6.5 coaxial in rear on a 4 channel amp and am happy with it and it didn't cost that much. Im planning on upgrading to comps soon once its warm out and i can work outside

elite-fusion; You can't let someone tell you what is better, especially on the internet, when it comes to speakers. The subject is just too subjective. How do you know if their definition of "better" is the same as yours? How do you know even if the person giving the advice has listened to all options proposed in the same environment to know accurately the differences of each?

The only thing you can do is go down to audition the options for yourself. That way YOU can decide what sounds best to YOU. Then purchase the one's you like best.
