I read your post about using LFE to each of your GE speakers, and passing the high level speaker signal through a separate sub underneath a SuperSat 60C. Here's a list of the gear that I have in mind:
Denon 3313CI AVR (already in place)
SVS PB12-NSD Subwoofer (already in place)
2x GoldenEar Triton Three, mains
GoldenEar SuperSat 60C Center Channel
2x GoldenEar SuperSat 3 Surrounds
2x GoldenEar SuperSat 3 Height Speakers
I'd prefer to have Triton Two's all around, but my small home theater simply can't accommodate them.
A friend has the SuperSat 60C Center, but it's sound is "thin" for my taste. What I'd like to do is place the SVS sub in the middle under my screen (where it works well) with the 60C above it (the center channel speaker cable going to the sub and the sub out to the center) , while at the same time running the LFE signal to the sub from the receiver (receiver set for full range center and mains, sub=yes). I don't know if this arrangement will work with my particular Denon/SVS combo. Anyone have any thoughts?
BTW, I recently finished a bedroom system that consists of 3x Aon 3 fronts, 2x SuperSat3 surrounds and ForceField 3 sub. It's paired up with a 64" Samsung 3D plasma and it sounds spectacular in that space. It's also the reason I'm considering switching out my Energy speakers for a GoldenEar setup in my dedicated home theater room. Although I love my RC70's, the GoldenEar sound is a perfect match to my music and home theater taste.
My local dealer is checking with GE about this, but I thought someone out there might have first hand experience. I didn't realize such a configuration was even possible until reading Steve's posts.
