Say your receiver has 3 hdmi inputs, and you want to connect your PC, BluRay, Xbox, Satellite, what do you do? This isn't my problem yet, but just curious.

Just shop around for HDMI switches. My Oppo is flawless and works with my Harmony remotes and looks good doing it. But there are less expensive options out there, just do a search.
Or you could run the PC video directly to the television with VGA and use a sp/dif out of the sound card. That is if the individual's equipment has the proper I/Os.
