I have had the Sony Recorder for a few years.
I just upgraded my TV to the LG 47LG90 47" LCD LED HDTV.
I'm trying to hook up the recorder to the tv via the HDMI connection. I purposely bought the Sony knowing it had an HDMI hookup and that I would eventually want to use it. I can't get it to work.
If I connect it directly to the TV I get a white screen (no picture) but the sound works.
I ultimately want to hook it into my Denon receiver and surround sound but if I do it this way I get nothing, my TV just says no signal.
The unit works perfectly fine using the other connections (s-video, component video).
Anyone have any suggestions on getting the HDMI connection to work??
I went through the troubleshooting: turning the equipment off/on and reconnecting the cables and even adjusting the video settings and none of that helped.
The HDMI light on the front panel is lit which is supposed to mean it is working.
