Today was a productive home theater day! What began with me dressing the rest of the speaker wires ended with me totally redoing everything.
I switched the location of the A/V receiver and the center speaker. First, our son loves to turn the input knob on the "pretty, shiny, black box with neat lights."
So, having it on the top of the stand alleviates that problem. Also, it makes servicing the receiver so much easier! Finally, I really like how it looks.
I also moved the DIRECTV set-top box and the Blu-ray player. I think this looks better as well.
You'll notice the new TSi200s on top. At first, they were placed on the stand due to the lack of speaker stands. However, after redoing the layout, I actually love their location! They are aimed right at our seating location, they are safely away from the reach of our little one, and I saved about $35 on not buying new stands.
You can see that I did move the couch away from the wall. Also, you can see the TSi100s in the back, along with the speaker stands that I got for $15 and refinished. I am really pleased with how they turned out.
