HDMI Volume/OSD Overlay on STR-DA3400ES?

I've been looking at picking up a DA3500ES receiver and was curious if this model supports an overlay of the OSD when using HDMI inputs (volume level, menu system, etc).

I know the DA5400ES does, but can't find anything about any of the lower models.

Can anyone that actually owns or has used it confirm this? If not, what's the next model up that does?

On p. 28 of the 3500ES user manual: "The audio and video signals of HDMI input
are not output from the HDMI OUT jack while the receiver menu is displayed." This is the same phrase in my 4400ES manual, which does not do menu overlay either.
