War of the Worlds is still my #1 movie for bass. Flight of the Phoenix is also way up there. I just watched Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem tonight, and while I wasn't able to crank it so late at night, I thought it was a pretty bass heavy movie. 2012 and Avatar ought to be some heavy hitting bass-fests when they come out on blu-ray. I really ought to give The Incredibles a spin on blu-ray, that could be a real workout for my subs.

War of the Worlds needs to hurry up and come out on Blu-Ray. Seriously.

Good call on FOTP though, I watched this one the other day for the first time on Blu-Ray and couldn't believe how much bass there was during the crash scene. Wowzers.

Terminator Salvation is still my #1 right now, but that might change when 2012 comes out.

Haven't watched my BD of Star Trek yet but from what can remember from the theater is was big and deep on the audio.

Looking forward to watching Term. Salv. when my sub arrives in a couple of weeks.

I watched a BD rental of Term. 3 last night just to get current on the storyline. Visually stunning in some scenes...somewhat goofy but entertaining.

Other ones I like that haven't been mentioned yet.

The Haunting (DVD, DTS version) -- not the movie, just the bass

Die Hard 4 - John picking up guy in apartment scene is great for the bass in the gun shooting from across the street. Other scenes are good too.

Pod racing scene from Star Wars Ep 1

how about the lab scene in Pulse?
It's like being in a man's chest.

I just find it amazing that the level and quality of bass just keeps getting better.

Most of the movies listed only recently were released. It is great stuff for those of us bass freaks.

All the Ice Age movies have intense bass throughout, otherwise most of the good ones are covered already in this thread.

Hi guys,

check out the movie pandorum it seems to have good bass effect, my receiver was showing LFE like crazy. My speakers played some pressure effect to the room.

Pearl Harbor was Ok but not great (unless you are running hot). Now 9 has bass that has detail and slam.

Was a little disapointed by Star Trek's bass.

Slumdog Millionaire anyone? Sounds crazy, but it blew up my room.

come on, no one mentioned Rambo (beside being 7.1), it has BASS that blow up subs and bring down houses, whatever happens first

+11. I would add War of the Worlds in the "honorable mention" category and probably swap Iron Man and LFoDH for the 5th spot.

Depth Charges, mmmmmmmmmm......

That's funny... My list likely would have swapped those two as well. But, LFoDH and Ironman are so close, I figured close enough.

Another I really enjoyed was Black Hawk Down. And, if people haven't checked it out yet, The Hurt Locker has some very intense bass.

LOL, I just added a second sub to my setup, and fired up this movie last night as a 'test'. My wife came downstairs, looked, rolled her eyes and left.

Depth charge scenes were reeediculous.

Gotta love the wives reactions. That made me laugh.

My top 5(WOTW is awesome but I just watch blurays now)

1. Terminator Salvation
2. The Dark Night
3. TF 2
4. Cloverfield
5. The Incredible Hulk

I have not seen 9 yet. WOTW and others will be on the list rather than others but not in bluray yet. Did I read that the Incredibles was on bluray?
Incredibles hasnt came out yet on blu, unless they snuck one by me.

Im going to check out The Hurt Locker this weekend though.
Master and Commander, Hellboy 2 and Horton Hears a Who are some other good ones no one has mentioned.

I am thinking seriously about adding second sub. Not because I "need" it but, because it is hard to imagine having too much bass. How much difference did you notice with second sub?
