The Proposal and Julie and Julia = no bass.

ROTF and Salvation, as already mentioned.

And for no-namers Hellboy II and Bablyon AD.

The scene in Madagascar (1) where the hut is burning and falls down is awesome.

Jurassic Park III has good bass in my view. The plane crash is outstanding.

At the risk of getting too far off topic (there are lots of threads re: adding 2nd sub) I'm really glad I did it. Not particularly huge difference in raw volume, but it's definitely a fuller, thicker sound. I'm a bit of a bass pig, so I'm picky about quality over volume.

And I'm sure the depth charge scene in U-571 validated your purchase quite sufficiently.

I've watched that scene at least once a month, just for those effects.

Like you said, "reeeediculous!"

Lol.

Validated the purchase, and confirmed my affliction to my wife...a self-diagnosed case of upgrade-itis. Hope there's no cure.

SVS PC Ultra 13 5db hot

Scenes listed in order of what I play when someone wants to hear (or feel) it

Terminator Salvation (7-11) new!!! Used to be the next one.......
Flight of the Phoenix (plane rolling scene)
War of the Worlds (Pod emergence scene)
Cloverfield (end monster scene)
The Haunting (the scene where it chases her through the house)
The Dark Knight (the two semis under ground scene)

Favorite Kids Movies for Bass

Monster INC
Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Kung Foo Panda (skidoosh!!!!) This is usually the last one I play because once it's on the kids whine if I turn it off

I have a reputation at work once some of them heard my Ultra. You know what really makes me giddy, it's when I play those scenes and they giggle or smile when the bass hits. My friends wife came over and I played skidoosh and when it hit I heard her kinda giggle. Then she said "That was like wow." My friend giggled during the plane rolling scene in Flight of the Phoenix. He said "I can feel it all over". That's f*cking awesome!!!!!!!

Jurassic Park is coming out with the start of what they call an all-new Trilogy although they will still be numbered Jurassic Park IV, V and VI. I think it's likely that JP IV is going to be loaded with bass. It's going to be jumping onto the list of best movies with bass....we just don't know how high up the list yet.

Looking forward to them...

Both "9" and Cloverfield are KILLER LFE movies IMO, just a bit different. You cant beat Cloverfield for that pure power. I think its important to be able to appreciate both
