svs nsd-pb12 problems

I've been an avid follower of the forum(s) but this is my 1st time w/a question. I have an SVS nsd-pb12 that is only about 2 months old and was working great until the other day when it suddenly cut out even though it was a bassy part of the movie. I checked the sub and the green light is on indicating it's receiving the signal so i unplugged the rca cable and re-inserted into the sub and it came back on...however it went off again a few moments later. I haven't made any adjustments to my receiver since I initially set it up so any advice on what could be going on?

Thanks in advance

Possible issue with the amp, the cable or your pre/pro/AVR. Try swapping the cable first and see if you can repeat the shut down. Also check your AVR's manual to see if it has a reset. On one occasion my Denon AVR started acting up where the LFE output was swinging wildly (15 Db swings), it was rectified by a simple reset procedure.

Of course it took me over a week to figure out it was the AVR and not the subs, amp, EQ, etc.

I'd also shoot a note to SVS's tech service. They are pretty on the ball and very knowledgeable.

My receiver is an AVR-3808ci, so I'll try the reset, maybe that'll work. I've emailed SVS support so we'll see what they say...thanks for the feedback!
