Breaking in a sub?

I have my sub always at very minimal level. (Ultracube 12) Today I turned up the gain and I am playing some bass heavy music. Do you think this makes a difference? Will this help break in the sub and get it moving? I have the volume up loud on everything. Onkyo 607 with atoms, can I crank it or what?

It's just my opinion but breaking in a sub is not like breaking in a car engine where you have to take it easy. I think it's just a matter of listening to your normal stuff at your normal levels and over time the surround and the thing that holds the coil in place (Can't remember it's name) eventually loosens up and it's supposed to sound better at that point. Obviously if the woofer is making crackles or pops then it's being overdriven.
