Comcast DTA DC50x and Hauppauge tuner cards question

Hey all,

This is my first post on the forum, but I have used the search several times for answers to questions I had.

I am thinking of building my first HTPC from a fairly capable desktop that I was given. I have decided to use WinXP Media Center edition, since that is already on the computer.

I want to buy either a Hauppauge PVR-150 PCI or HVR-1600 PCI tuner card, and was wondering if anyone has these working with Comcast's DC50x DTA box correctly with the IR blaster on these models.

I know these boxes aren't able to be controlled by most universal remotes, and saw from threads I searched that people were having problems with these DTA's.

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

Neel,
It just so happens I have experience with both the PVR-150 and the HVR-1600 and the DC50x, in the past two weeks.
Neither control the DC50x, but a Windows MCE remote will, and it'll work just fine. They are about $17 on Ebay for the remote (which I don't use), and the blaster (which I do). Grab the 1600 and the remote kit, and it'll work just fine.
