Any one want the service manual i added it to my idisc, cost me 20 bucks but if anyone can get some use out of it and share the repairs they did on this thread it is worth it.

So thats the rule you use it to fix something, share it with the forum.

Thank you so much, I'll just tuck that away, you never know when it might come in handy!

I got it cause I like to POOGE my equipment. Progressive Optimization Of Generic Electronics. You upgrade the electrical components in electronics with better ones or slight redesign. Sometimes it makes a huge difference sometimes not. its just a Hobby.

Agreed; Put low noise fast settling diodes in the supply supply to lower the noise floor and smooth out some digital edge, upgrade the audio output IC and upgrade the decoupling capacitors. Simple steps to a better player especially it you use the analog channels. Of course you need a sound system good enough to hear the difference.

Yeah thanks a lot for this, though I doubt LG appreciates your posting this "for sale" and copyrighted material on the internet!

Thanks. That has much better troubleshooting that most CE service manuals. Might actually be helpful at some point.

At one point, I had it (back when Toshiba let you download it without a password), but I guess I didn't keep it. Now I only have the XA2 Svc Manual. Sorry.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but it seemed most appropriate.

I am currently doing some reverse engineering work on the BH100/BH200 units.

Does anyone here have the service manuals as were linked above, please?

The old links appear to be long gone...

Thanks!

Geeji,

Many thanks for that, it's very much appreciated.

Sadly, my hope that maybe the loader schematics would be a part of the service manual were not fulfilled. I knew it was going to be a long shot, but one has to have hope. Oh well.

If anyone comes across any service manual that actually documents the loaders (ie: the drive mechanisms) then please let me know.

Thanks again.

If you are looking for the reference of the internal drive, it is supposed to be the same as LG GGR-L20N. Could be found on eBay some time ago, but unfortunately not recently. May be the Service Manual of that one, if it exists, would help.
