"reunions"

Is that a euphemism for sexual trysts or something.

Anyway, it appears that you've done something interesting with your speaker stands. Whether it be taking a conventional stand and tweaking it a bit to make them appear a little more natural or industrial-looking. Or, simply building something from scratch with unexpected parts, not unlike your cfl pipe "torches".

That makes sense. I suspected the word choice was probably a language translation issue.

This is my stereo in my college apartment. I am a Sophomore Economics major at Arizona State. My family is built up of musicians and audio nerds, so I've grown up around this. 50/50 computer audio and vinyl split. Project Debut III into a yaqin preamp, my old laptop runs through my Cambridge DAC and a passive preamp because the output is too loud for the yaqin. The yaqin goes into my Marantz Monoblocks and Paradigm Studio 100 Reference V.2. After this summer, I'm bringing back a power conditioner from one of my uncles, and hopefully a different preamp setup in the near future.

Nice! Can you please list the equipment? Despite nice gear, I bet it sounds less than stellar with all those bare reflective surfaces. Looks like your room is screaming for acoustical treatments, which from 1st hand experience will escalate your system to loftier acoustical heights. Enjoy.

I had just moved into that house and everything had been packed up for a few months. It was one of the first things I unpacked as I needed a fix. It currently resides in my living room. The equipment is Linkwitz Lab Orions with matching Thor subs (speakers and subs each have their own sound processors and amps).
Each speaker is powered by a Rotel RMB-1066 and the subs have a Behringer EP-2500. Receiver is a Pioneer Elite VSX 59-Txi. Toshiba HD-XA2 for CDs although mostly streaming from computer now. The other boxes are the ASPs and three sets of amps for three sets of Plutos that I was using for surrounds. I use NHT 3s for surrounds (7.1) powered by the Pioneer now as it fits better in the living room. I also use a 1000W dual Peerless sub for movies. Pretty sure that's it. One more, Sony BDP-S760 BLU-RAY. O.K. all done (for now)
