This is fun, today's Craigslist Score

Kenwood KR9600 (close to mint) circa 1976

Klipsch Heresy HBR circa 1974?

Can't exceed 1 on the volume control!

Also picked up a Sansui 8080 but it needs some work

I love the headphone stand... I'm now searching all over the internet to see if I can find something similar in the US.

Swapping some things around in the den, so here's a pic of a new project. 1 yr production only, 1970 JBL L100 with LX12-10 crossover and vertical alignment. Very pleased with them, much more tame than the later L100A models, will keep here for a little bit and let the Maggies sit in the corner and watch.....

Very nice. I like the music choice as well (i.e. Tom Waits). wink.gif

That VH1 Storytellers album is great. Plays like a live greatest hits collection peppered with stories and wandering thoughts from a genuine crazy person!

Speakers are DIY. There is a build thread on this here: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1203273/wardsweb-diy-3-way-horns

My very modest set up. Monitor Audio RX6's, RX Center (which i know is mounted to high, purchasing a speaker stand for it) and Onkyo TX-NR515. Saving to upgrade the receiver and get an amp.

Beautiful setup! Have you thought about putting the TV on an articulating mount? Then you could pull it out and be flush with the center channel

Thankyou , I have thought about it for a while about 2 years or so . But I keep dreaming about a PJ setup but guess I could still mount the Kuro on the wall .

I'm borrowing my photographer friend's old Canon G10, so I figured I would post some stereo shots to AVS! biggrin.gifcool.gif

Currently 2.0, although considering adding the .1 in the near future. The system is the triple threat: music, gaming, video. The newest addition is the PS3, so lately I've been using that a lot, but the turntable still gets nearly daily use. The Apple TV handles 99% of the music on the digital side, I just have the CD's out for fun really wink.gif

speakers: B&W 602.5 S3
receiver: Marantz SR4023
digitial: PS Audio Digital Link, Apple TV, PS3
analog: Pro-Ject Debut III, P-J Speed Box II, Orotofon 2M Blue
TV: 40" Samsung 630 LCD, low-profile wall mount
stand: Salamander Design Archetype 3.0 w/extra shelf
surge/power: PS Audio Quintet

Future plans include tackling the room, MAYBE a sub (apartment dweller), phono pre-amp. Eventually I'll replace the Marantz, but that is a long way off

I see nothing humble there! smile.gif

how do you like your Dynamo 700??

I've heard it before and remember liking it, and I've seen an original Dynamo posted on my local Craigslist twice now. I'm tempted to make an offer; the original has a 200W amp, placing it between the 500 and 700 models...

My 2 channel set up is in the home office. Since this picture was taken, I returned the Topping amp and replaced with a Marantz SR5600 AVR, hardly used, I scored off CL for $30. Speakers were free off CL too.

Boston Acoustics A-100 series 1

I want to build some stands next weekend to get them off my desk to free up space.

Thanks for the kind words! Love your setup -- very clean looking!

I've had the Dynamo 700 for going on two years now, and I love it. I'm a fan of ML subs in general. The original Dynamo (and my 700) are especially great for music since they are sealed; the 500 is ported. If your room is larger, though, it may not be enough if you're looking for huge, palpable bass with gobs of output for HT applications. My room is pretty small, but before I moved I did have it in a room that was almost twice as large, and I never felt it lacked anything. Currently it's able to rattle my windows with some soundtracks with the volume knob at 12 o''clock. It excels at music - incredibly fast, detailed, and tight, and it integrates splendidly with my mains, especially after running Audyssey. FWIW It performed wonderfully with my last pair of speakers, too -- B&W 685s.
