I've had my Dell Studio 540s since December 2009 with the follow key specifications:
Video Connection HDMI --> 42" Plasma TV (Vizio VP42)
Audio Connection Digital Coax --> Sony 6.1 Receiver
Vista Media Center with OTA antenna (no cable, cable card, etc.)
For about the last 4 months, I've seen a random issue. The machine will come out of sleep mode, record a program and go back to sleep as expected. However, 1 out of every 5 times, when the machine goes back to sleep after the recording, it will send an HDMI signal to my TV to power on.
Any ideas what might be causing this? Or how to prevent it? Kind of annoying to wake up in the middle of the night and the TV is turned on.
- Windows Vista Home Premium (x64)
- Hauppage 1250 Single tuner
- ATI Radeon 3450 (256MB Video card) with HDMI Out
- Q6600 Processor
- 4GB RAM
