This is a complete misrepresentation of facts.
Wow, people can have different opinions... that's fine, but you really need to get a grip buddy... Like I have nothing better to do than to misrepresent a TV that I spent $3500 on. How exactly would I benefit from a "fraudulent" picture of MY tv??? lol... and as far as what I "claimed" I did, was CALLED Sony to ask a rep about the technology of the new XN800 vs the XBR8, as well as the availability...
What is the point of this topic anyway? Do I have to prove my purchases and returns with the forum board members before you can give me advice? You are starting to sound like a bunch of wash-woman... get a grip...
In all reality, I could care less what anyone here thinks of my opinions or purchase decisions... I was coming here for technical advice and so far, I haven't received a single intelligent answer... people here are more interested in stroking each others egos like some wierd Kuro cult, than actually helping someone.
Btw, the DYNAMIC picture I showed a (cell phone) snapshot of was in direct sunlight. As I mentioned earlier, at NIGHT the TV looks magnificant. But it's absolutely useless in direct lighting to me... which I was told it wouldn't be and that it had just as good, if not a better anti glare filter than the Samsung 860 etc...
And a far as the Best Buy Magnolia calibration... I verified again today that they do use a laptop and they do unlock the ISF modes... It's the Legacy location in 33410 if anyone is interested in verifying my "claims"...
I will take some pics of the Sony and the Kuro side by side --- you know, the TV that I didn't order? Lol...
