In case I didn't mention it before, the BD xfer of Heavy Metal is pretty good IMO. The contrast, color and detail on the BD were noticeably better than my old 2003 Superbit DVD edition. It's possible that the 2008 DVD Collector's Edition could have been mastered from the same HD xfer as the BD though, so the difference between those two versions might be a bit less striking.

IAC, this BD release gets a strong thumbs-up from me. This is intented for mature viewers btw.

I've picked up a ton of animated titles since I last posted. DC's Batman: Year One is pretty good and so is Superman vs. The Elite.

As for anime, well, I can't get enough. I just picked up Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Complete Collections Vol 1 & 2. All 64 eps. Great stuff.

Also picked up AnoHanna and Occult Academy boxed sets, Baccano! and so much more...

My backlog is literally in the hundreds now. Don't know when I'll get around to watch them all.cool.gif

Re: Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths

The BD was on sale for BF, so I grabbed it. Beautiful visuals on this. A rich diverse color palette, and really nice design, contrast and detail. Story was also pretty good. Like many of these films, this is also geared a bit more towards mature viewers. Only caveat I can think of is that Supes and Batty are voiced by different performers than the usual guys.

I look forward to checkin out Year One as well. Doesn't look as colorful as some other DC features, but animation looked quite good in the trailer.
