I'm confused....are you say 6 bucks is a lot of dough to a New Yorker???

IF (and I don't know the case here) JW supervised the 3D conversion, would you spring for a 3D ticket?
I ask because, on paper, TA is perfect material for 3D....

So keep 3D on paper, and leave it off the screen.

You can do it! I plan on seeing this in 3D when we go next weekend... For our first time.

I don't view 2D and 3D as being a Black and White Situation...
3D can "enhance" the movie experience: Avatar.

$18 per ticket is insane. Add what it costs to use the subway for two people, food, etc. It's crazy expensive to go to a movie now.

I have yet to see a 3D conversion I liked. I always end up with a headache and cannot stand the dim picture.

And why is Marvel/Disney not paying to have IMAX prints struck? So no real IMAX and only LIEMAX? I don't get it?

Is Edward Norton back as the Hulk or is it someone new?

Damn, that is a bummer. I take it the new guy does a good job at least?

Edit: Just watched the above trailer. I think I will get over this real quick by how awesome the movie looks overall

He does a very good job but like you i like movies to be consisitent especially with the actor. But at the end of the day its the monster within him that impressed me and im sure everyone else will be too.

Our new OKC metro IMAX, the Moore Warren in Moore, OK, is brand new and has the largest digital IMAX screen in the world. It's HUGE. If The Avengers turns out to be as good as it's cracked up to be, the price I would pay to see it at the Moore Warren IMAX would be well worth the premium.

Although 70 mm IMAX has matchless resolution, it's going away. The digital version of IMAX is already quite good and can only get better, it seems to me.

Well, it's a cold, rainy Saturday morning here. Baseball practice has been canceled. So that means afternoon movie. Iron Man is about to be crossed off our Marvel movie marathon list.

Iron Man
The Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2
Thor
Captain America

Slightly off topic, but of the list above, what is everyone's favorite? A definite Ironman for me (the first one), followed by CA, Thor, IM2, TIH.

I attended a press screening yesterday morning. Unfortunately, they made us all sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) which means I can only say very little.

Here it goes...
I love every second of this movie and it's of my opinion that it is the best superhero movie to date. Whedon's script and direction is damn near flawless. I'm going to see it again and look forward to reviewing it on blu ray.

I know it sounds like I'm gushing, but I can't help it. It's just a fantastic film, not just a fantastic superhero film.

Hope that helps.

For me it would go.......

1. TIH
2. Thor
3. IM
4. IM2
5. CA

Funny thing is I did not like Thor the first time I saw it, but did a 180 when seeing it at home for some reason..........????

I still liked CA, but for me it was the weakest on this list.

Worst Superhero movie to date IMO...................Green Lantern! Horrible.

For me, the chrological order is:

IM2
THOR
CA
TA

My favourites in order are:

TA
IM
THOR
CA
IM2
TIH

FYI: This one will be another flick converted to 3D in post-production (meaning the 3D effects will probably suck). That being the case I will probably wait for it to hit Blu-Ray so I can watch it at home in 2D.

Nice! Can't say the same. I've seen many films multiple times in the theatre. However, most of those times were to watch it with someone who hadn't seen it and I didn't mind watching it again. This time it's because I want to see it again... Badly!
