Well, duh!!

We will have to wait a while, though. It probably won't be released for three more years (summer 2015).

Next summer is Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 in the Fall. Summer 2014 is Captain America 2.

The good news is Joss Whedon will likely be the director again.

I saw this last Friday and loved it. Can't wait to see it again and can't wait for the Blu-ray.

edit-

And after 10 years on this forum, I finally have 1000 posts.

Hulk had more personality in this film than any previous outing, especially when dealing with Asgardians (both Thor and Loki). Hilarious. Who knew the Hulk had a sense of humor? Guess Whedon did. Made the character much more ...human (at least in the sense of being able to connect with the audience).

I really like Norton as an actor, but I have to admit that I preferred Ruffalo in the part. His unflappable demeanor and mischievious smile finally made Banner something more than a professional victim in a constant state of pathos. About time. Haven't seen such a rounded version of the character since Bixby's take.

Agreed. Everything about the way Hulk was portrayed was much better than in the two Hulk movies (including the CGI work), IMO.

Norton reportedly brought more of the Bixby series vibe to the HULK script (those meddling actors), I recall reading somewhere. But I too liked Ruffalo as Banner - his moments with Downey were good good. Plus, I can totally see him popping up in IRON MAN 3, hanging out in a Stark lab or something.

I read that too, and the inclusion of the Hulk TV show theme music and the image of Bixby on a TV screen made it clear that they were fans of the old show. For the record, I liked Norton as Banner; just liked Ruffalo more. It was just so refreshing to finally see a Bruce Banner without all the 'woe is me' hanging over him like a dark cloud. But credit goes just as much, if not more, to Whedon than Ruffalo.

Yup, well written interaction between those characters, made even more enjoyable by the nice on-screen chemistry between the two actors.

One can only hope. Not like it wasn't hinted at, directly and indirectly (carpooling). Now, if they only follow that up with something in Iron Man 3.

LOL. Indeed. What's amazing is that right there is NOTHING compared to something else he does (actually a few other things at least).

I finally saw it yesterday (2D). wow. The room was packed. People cheered and applauded at the end credits. I hadn't seen that in a while. I don't quite know how to comment this instead of just: I want to see it again, and quick! Mark Ruffalo is my favorite Banner/Hulk, I totally agree with sdurani regarding his personality. It feels like there is a team working both in the movie and on the set. The story builts perfectly, just enough comic relief moments to keep the audience breathing, just enough also so the story stays focused and serious. Nice to see a Whedon film being as successful as this one, as it's entirely, and rightfully deserved.

....oh and Pepper, please wear the same clothes in Iron Man 3!

I got the impression those denim short-shorts were selected to burnish Paltrow's burgeoning country music career as she added little, if anything, to the storyline (I'm sure she picked up a nice check too, of course). That's a country kinda' outfit.

I've never understood the attraction to GP. She is plain, skinny (no figure), and a very mediocre actress. If she worked in an office with you and was not on the big screen, I fill most of us would go, meh.

Ill give her a second glance

Someone asked what the Hulk said after his interaction with Loki.

I believe.

I think she's beautiful and exactly my type, go figure.

Besides, she's part of Tony Stark/Iron-Man movies' universe, so her appearance did seem relevant to me. Just like I wouldn't have minded a cameo from Natalie Portman, yet I'm glad they made at least a reference to her character. It simply ties the different movies and storylines better imo.

5 Hidden Reasons Behind 'Avengers' Record-Shattering Success

Two observations:

1) I haven't seen any mention of the thing Stark attached to Fury's computer. Was it some kind of bug or tracking device? Is it a setup for Iron Man 3?

2) I had a different take on what Hulk said after his fight with Loki. Granted, I couldn't hear it because the audience was roaring with laughter, but from looking at his mouth, I was convinced he said:

I guess I'm the only one who thought this.

As long as she didn't talk, everything would be fine.

Interesting stuff.
I am not sure I buy all of it, but what do I know?

I'm pretty sure it was this, referenced to his often repeated phrase in the comics

wasn't it a gizmo that somehow scanned hard drives/files and helped revealing that SHIELD planned to build weapons with the tesseract?
Correct, & Stark explained that later in the film.

Ding ding. We have a winner. At least that is what I understood him to say as well. I couldn't figure out how to do the spoiler tags on the avs app so I hadn't chimed in yet.

I think that's just it. She's not really Hollywood glam. To me she seems to be the type that would hang out and have a burger and a beer with you. Beyond that, she's not an unattractive woman by any stretch. She's pretty and tall with nice legs.

As well as Banner mentioning his destroying Harlem during his last major "incident"....granted Banner did look a little different at that time...

+1...to both Closet Geek's comment and the hope that cutoff are part of Pepper's wardrobe in IM3.
