LG xxLF11 - Super IPS panels?

Hello

I've read some of the LG xxLH30's after april/may are all VA panels made by AUO and the earlier ones which would be hard to find now were IPS

is there a better chance of landing an LG Super IPS panel with the LF11 LG models?

newegg lists the 32LF11 as super IPS when you click on specifications - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16889005061

considering that its discontinued and an older model it should have an IPS panel but it could be a gamble

i only see 2 retailers online selling it still and imho your better off going the safe route and getting a Panasonic 32 S1. its Guaranteed to be an IPS panel and will have the lowest input lag you will find in an LCD TV (its been tested check the owners thread on here if you want proof)

the panny's also work great as computer monitors via HDMI (VGA is no go for 1080p but HDMI should always be used for the best picture anyways)

I assume your wanting the IPS for its low input lag ofc

is the easiest test to see if its a IPS panel to touch the screen?

I grabbed one of these the other day thinking it was a Sears "branded" LH30 and it isn't IPS according to the touch test above. It seems okay, but I'm wondering if it will have problems in the long run.
I also have an LH30, made in November, and it appears to be IPS according to the touch test.

wow, thanks for that info i never realized that IPS didn't do that!!!

i just tested it though and sure enough it does not

i do know that the VA TV's i have owned did do that when you pressed on the screen

very cool

with a black screen you get a finger sized light blue color on my 37S1 IPS screen

i know that my sony and the toshiba i had will make a giant halo of lighter screen when you tap or press on the screen so yeah it works

Hey I am in the market for an affordable 32" IPS panel to use as my main screen for 6-12 months. I want IPS because I returned a samsung due to HORRIBLE input lag in my opinion. My parents have a 42lg70 and i never noticed any input lag on this screen.

Can anyone help me find a choose a 32" IPS panel? Want to buy in the next 1-2 weeks if possible

hey thanks for the quick reply.

Couple of questions. I hear all about pany plasmas, but how are they in general as LCD's?

I want IPS for input lag and viewing angles, but I don't want to sacrifice picture quality too much or bad motion blurring you know?

Would I even notice a difference between 720p and 1080p on a 32" screen anyways?
