Yes. Stringer Bell lives on as a British detective with lots of issues I liked season one better than #2

Netflix's deal with AMC, has each of their series added to streaming usually a couple of weeks before the new season starts. The Killing was added to streaming weeks before the second season debut, Mad Men had it's rerun packaged added to with the previous season (4) just before the 5th started. Breaking Bad's Season 5 starts July 15, so S4 should join the rest next month, unless a change is made. And no news of a potential delay has been made.

I agree, Series 2 seemed a bit too formulaic, like they'd been watching too many CBS cop shows, hopefully the next series will be as good as the first.

Ah--an educated guess biggrin.gif. If it follows the pattern of other AMC shows on Netflix, Season 4 of BB should be added just before the 5th starts next month.

I checked out Life partly on this mention of Alan Arkin, but it's not Alan, it's his kid Adam....good but just not as good smile.gif Shahi I haven't noticed much before, Crews I recognized from something but couldn't place him, had to look 'em both up on imdb....

Another vote for "Life", a very good series that went well before its time. Another example of poor management at NBC and why they are last in the ratings.

The villains in season 2 sucked

The crazy lady in the first was great & more interesting

Yes, Alice, she's a very complex and very intelligent foe for Luther, need to keep her in a recurring role for sure.smile.gif

Occupant is a good horror thriller.

I loved part of the finale so much that I saved it for a long time on my DVR. It was a really beautiful a poignant pairing of music with the story. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
From Jinx pretending to kill Claudia while revealing his undercover mission to her to them being too late to catch the villain and finding Jinx's body, set to a slow, acoustic cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" by a band called Track and Field.
I didn't delete it on purpose but I've switched to a new TiVo since then and it may have gotten lost in the shuffle.

You could always buy it in HD/5.1 from Amazon for $17. Surely Netflix will add it at some point. New episodes don't come until July 23rd, so they have time to beat the new season and let you watch or re-watch the old one in a marathon smile.gif.

I had really planned on DVRing last season, but it slipped my mind until it was well underway (probably could have found repeats, but did not try) .. I think W 13 is one of the underappreciated shows ..

I did check Amazon for Season 3 .. but I'll likely wait for NF and see what happens ..

Alien Opponent is a light, goofy sci-fi film for those into light, goofy sci-fi. It was what I was going to watch on Friday night but the outage prevented.

Branagh's Thor is up if you haven't seen it, now is as good a chance as any.

Oh, I noticed all of Quincy M.E. was remastered in HD/24p. It looks as good as you'd expect for an old TV show.

I just finished it. They cleverly just about tied every open story arc up with a nice ribbon without it seeming too rushed--it was a pretty satisfying ending. I think that they definitely had a few months warning that their second season was probably their last.

It should be noted that Thor on Netflix is 720p only, without digital 5.1 sound. Since dropping Starz Play Netflix has been getting recent release titles like Thor through their contracts with the content IP holders--hopefully this is not a sign of things to come.

I'll just have to kick in a little DSP ..

I just examined a few other relatively-recent-big-theatrical-release films on Netflix: Iron Man 2, Kick-Ass and Rango are all 720p-only and without digital 5.1 sound. Pro Logic II matrix encoding on the stereo tracks generally survive Netflix encoding so you'll get some surround sound (the little bit of Rango I listened to sounded quite good).

Thor and Iron Man 2 are both Marvel Comics Studio releases, so maybe those limitations are part of Netflix's deal with them. I suppose that these limitations are better than what we got from Starz Play. Some other relatively-recent-big-theatrical-release films like Limitless have been in 1080p w/DD+ sound so we can hope that not many content providers will imposed such limitations.

Another good movie is Goon. Probably the second best hockey movie after Slap Shot. Funny stuff (and based on a true story).
Like Slap Shot you don't have to know hockey to appreciate it.

Enjoying Magic Trip right now, some of the film from the amazing bus trip from some wonderfully cool people who started out from very near here....

And the date has now been confirmed-at least, by feedfliks. July 15.

@mkdragon-Sorry, no pre season Warehouse 13 marathoning for you and other fans. NBC/Universal adds s3 to the episode package after the new season starts. Aug 1 is when the package is updated. http://feedfliks.com/movie/warehouse-13-season-3/196717

+1

I watched it last night and liked it, it's like Slap Shot meets American Pie. Definitely not kid friendly though.

New episodes could always be stockpiled on your DVR until after you've watched the previous season. I'd love to review the final story arc leading into the huge cliff-hanger ending of last season.

My parents just got Netflix and I think its great.
Lately I am going through shows like Anthony Bourdain No Reseverations.
Is there anything similar that you can recommend??
