Olympic opening and closing ceremony to be rebroadcast 3 times!

An article in todays Detroit Free Press/News stated that Mark Cuban had negotiated to rebroadcast the Opening and Closing Ceremonies 3 time in the next 12 months. This is a plus, I'm sure many would like to see some or all of it again, (just not right now...). They didn't mention any of the competitions being rebroadcast though.

If anyone spots the Opening Ceremonies coming up some time please give a heads up. Likewise.

I think NBC cut the closing ceremonies short.

Hopefully the HDnet re-broadcast will include
the (reportedly) amazing fireworks show at
the very end of the closing.

Setting the record straight ....

1. NBC paused at 11:00 pm (eastern time) for local news, but picked up the remainder of the closing ceremony (about 10 minutes' worth -- including the fireworks) on tape-delay at 11:35 pm.

2. I saw the HDnet rebroadcast the following day. They were allowed only a 2 hour time-slot. They cut off the delayed broadcast at just about the same point as NBC, and they did not show the closing fireworks.

I hope HDnet has negotiated to lengthen or re-edit their original telecast and include the fireworks. I know many people who has HD wish to see the fireworks.
