Its been a little over 2 weeks since the OP posted in his own thread. Maybe he lost interest?

Of course not. Unless you want to. This poll really means nothing. LOL.

That's the way it is here. How many times have you or anyone else have offered advice and got a response from very many OP's. A couple of days later they are no where to be found. Much less anything about what they decided to purchase. This AV forum is no different than any of the others. Just more members. With newer un-appreciative ones coming in daily.

I have no intention of doing so. Even if I were, I wouldn't do so based on the results of another "beauty contest" poll.

Yep. Pretty pathetic and useless. Like this poll.

Or because he out of the country for 6+ months.... its always easier to be a sh** talkers though isn't it.

This information was still useful to me and will help inform my decisions.

Btw, held off on buying anything for now -- thanks for contributing everyone (not so much to the naysayers)

So how will this useful information help inform your decision? What did you find helpful? What information was important to you?

To some degree at least it confirms -- that even though the more mainstream brands can be assumed to be the favorites -- people on this forum still conform to that trend and are satisfied enough with their purchase to get on here read this thread and click to vote on this "useless poll."

The original intent was to get the major contributors narrowed down and find which models people liked; ideally learning if there was a previous year model that met my needs and was thought of as performing well.

Basically, I am trying to do the opposite of the "I have this room, and I want this awesome setup for ---- blah ---- tell me what to buy all you people who have read thousands of those posts and LOVE to share your opinions willy-nilly. To me, that result is 100 times more subjective. I know my environment trying to describe it and what I want my receiver to do is futile. I would rather find out what receivers people really gravitate towards and are pleased with. Then decide which one I think will suit me.
