I am at a crossroad, as I would like to get my CD collection and DVD collection all ripped to HD, but I can not figure out the best server solution. This is why I ask your opinion. Currently, I have the above mentioned Sony Vaio system, which I could put into my system, after I use the 200-DVD/CD changer to rip all my stuff. Once I have ripped everything, I am a bit torn as to using the Media Center system or the PS3 as a music and movie server.
What are your thoughts or suggestions?
I have an iPod, but rarely use iTunes, now that I have it populated, so I am open to lots of other interfaces. On the other hand, AppleTV or Apple Mini seems to be an interesting way to go - Yes? No?
