What should I look for in an AVR with a 45ft HDMI run to the TV?

I'm trying to design a proper system for someone.

I've got a 45ft Series 1 BJC installed. http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/...bles/index.htm

I don't have a model number (yet) but the TV is a Panasonic plasma; 1080p 40" or 42", which was purchased within the last 8 months new.

I am going to purchase an A/V Receiver. I wanted to run everything into this AVR and only one hdmi cable to the TV.
I am really confused about the video processing chips in these AVRs and how they might relate to a longer run. Here are some of my questions.

1)How would these affect a 45ft run?
2)Are some better at longer runs than others?
3)If I found an AVR that could be in standby mode and could pass the Satellite TV signal to the TV, how would that affect the signal compared to the AVR being on?
4)Do you have any suggestions for AVRs that relate to what I am trying to do?

These links almost confuse me even more. http://www.anchorbaytech.com/vrs_tec...turing_vrs.php

I will be picking out Satellite/DVR boxes later and possibly a bluray player and probably some type of Apple TV/ ipod or similar device later.

Things I will be inputting in to the AVR:
-Satellite TV with a DVR device to start (Direct TV I believe)(I don’t know right now if they would have separate input connections to the AVR
-Maybe later on, an Over the Air antenna signal (through some type of box I guess)

-DVD player to start out (I don’t think its of the upconvert kind, and I doubt it has an hdmi out) / possibly a Bluray player to take the place of the dvd player later

-an older cd changer

-Sirius satellite radio with a “Siriusconnect” module (this could end up being the thing used the most besides Satellite TV)

-probably some type of mp3 player (with video playing capabilities would be nice) hooked up later…(Ipod or Apple TV…or something else…but I think it would be nice if it could be controlled with help from the tv screen)

Thanks for any advice.

1) The video chips have nothing to do with the HDMI output characteristics. That's determined by a separate HDMI line driver circuit.

2) All receivers are likely pretty much the same. There is a standard for the HDMI signal characteristics that all receivers should meet.

3) It depends if it still keeps the HDMI circuits active to pass on the signal or if it's just a passive pass-through.

4) I believe all receivers will perform pretty much the same as far as HDMI cable length they can drive. That's more determined by the quality of the HDMI cable and whether there is equalization at the receiver end (which I understand some TVs have).
