Monitor Audio RS6 vs RS8 Wich one?

Hi,
I bought a pair of Monitor Audio RS6 speakers. My home is not too big, and I listen to the music in stereo at low volume, mainly music cd´s. (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, U2, Rolling Stones, and classic music, Violin Concertos, Mozart, Beethoven).
The bass of the speakers are OK, but I´m doubting with respect to change it for a pair of Monitor Audio RS8.
On the other hand, I´m sure that the RS8 will add more bass, but my living room is not too big, and the speakers are not welcome by my wife!!
I don´t know what to do!! I have the doubt respect of the bass in the RS8 will be too loud for my living room at the volume that I listen to the music, and in the all will be a mess confusing all the sound.
Thanks in advance for your help!!

Stick with your RS6's. IMO they sound better than the RS8's. If you need more bass, get a good subwoofer.

Since you have a small room, I would get a subwoofer instead. RS8s have more output for a bigger room, but at low volumes, it's not necessarily going to give you more extension. A sub is best for your situation IMO, especially if you have a front end that can do the crossover.

I have no experience with either of them but I would also add--get a sub.
