Any Apple OR Win7 apps that interface well with 7MC on tablets?

OK, I was told that this is not an appropriate subject for the mac forum here due to the involvement of 7MC, so I figured I'd ask it here instead.

I'm looking for a way to use a tablet -- possibly the iPad -- to interface effectively with my 7MC HTPCs. I'd like the device to work as a front-end, of sorts, to browse/launch media on the HTPC using gestures and other touch capabilities on the tablet itself.

So, the first question in the title... is there already an app to do this? Perhaps in the jailbroken realm? Any other options?

Second question: Do Win7-based tablets have any advantages in this regard? (Remember, I'm looking for an interface for my separate HTPCs. I don't want the tablet itself to be the HTPC)

Thanks ahead of time!

vmcMote looks like a decent start, here:

But, what I'm looking for -- in preparation for the iPad release -- is something a little more robust. I'd like to see coverflow on the device for the movies AND music sections of 7MC. I'd also really like it if we could browse the TV guides to select shows, all without having the guide show up on the main TV screen itself. IOW, browse what is on TV without interfering with what is currently being viewed.

Any ideas? Do Windows Tablets have any apps like this?

Mobile Air Mouse looks extremely cool. I know it does support MC, but I have no idea how extensive it is. Check out the video at the link. Only two bucks.

If you use XBMC, there is already a really great iphone app (and therefore iPad app)

oh damn, that is EXACTLY what I'm looking for, just with 7MC instead of XBMC... (I need the CableCARD support ).

Will Win7 XBMC work with the new Silicondust or Ceton CableCARD solutions?

Seriously, that app is absolutely perfect for the upcoming iPad...
