Anyone know how to exit split screen mode?

Call Infocus support, I got mine stuck in PIP and they were able to get it out.

One question about long HDMI handshake / sync time:

I still like my SP8602 except the sync time with my BD player and Mediaplayer.

Tried the HDMI detective, no luck, but...I was running it with a monoprice switcher. It would work better without.

So, I changed gamma to CRT and turned the auto iris on last night to watch Harry Potter:Azkaban...it looked fantastic and the iris was only noticeable twice during the movie. Previously I watches Deathly Hallows and Pirates: Stranger Tides and it was abysmal. not sure if it was the content (Hallows might be the toughest movie ever for irises) or if switching the gamma to CRT helped it not work as hard as Video (would come out of black slower causing the iris not to pump as often or as extremely. The mixed scenes just pop and look fantastic though.

I'm trying to decide if this oh can last me until 4K machines get below $5K (assuming there's content

so you owned a detective an didn't even try to use it without the switch if it could fix the sync problem...?

I did actually try to use it without the switch but it was after I'd hooked it up through the switcher...it didn't change its performance even then but I didn't really investigate it as I wasn't willing to use it without the switcher and wasn't willing to buy two. This may sound crazy but my 8602 picks up a signal faster with the new Monoprice switch than without...maybe they've included an EDID memory function in it? (they did change some aspects in the updated version). Buy them all through a seller with good return policy (Amazon, Monoprice, etc.).

Be sure to go into the 8602 menus and select the default input to "HDMI 1" or "HDMI 2", if you leave it in "Auto" it will bounce between inputs forever...if it doesn't see a device it will change inputs even if there's a device on that input. Its almost like it doesn't know how slow its own handshake is...

There have been reports that the Component input works flawlessly (as it should), but I'm not a fan of the relative softness through Component.

now there is InFocus ScreenPlay SP8600HD3D,with one main major flaw,no lens shift,anyone have had his hand on this pj?

...Make that two, no iris. Somehow they're claiming 40,000:1 contrast (over 8602's 30,000:1) unless the 30K is without Dynamic Black (iris) I don't know how that's possible...pretty sure they didn't up the ante and throw a Darkchip 4 in that badboy with an internal speaker! (those two go together like oil in space)

yes they are available for immediate dispatch in the UK+Germany.

any idea if/when they will hit the usa??.. and gotta figure that they made improvements over the 8602 which afterall has been out 2+ years ..but wondering exactly what r the changes?

no idea really if it's going to hit the US market,as the infocus say that it's available only in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

you can always use an Automatic voltage regulator 100-240.

So, I watched Avatar on BD last night (PS3) and, though it was breathtaking, the iris was very noticeable. I watched it with my brother who didn't say anything, didn't ask him if he was noticing it. It was wierd, it would "search" for the correct iris setting. Close way down, then open up a bit, then a little more, etc. all in the same scene.

This projector still being a good option today? I've seen it a very good price, aprox. 1200 €

Its a good option for that kind of money. Other projectors now are as bright with better blacks and similar color and equal sharpness, but probably not for that money.

Is it similar to themescene HD87 or this is better than SP8602??

had the chance to play with this at a friend house,and I can tell you,this unit is a great one out of the box,apart from the lack of lens shift and iris,this the unit to go for at that price tag.

Epson, Panasonic, JVC Rs45/6, Sony 50...notice I still own the 8602 because I dont think the differences are that great. My next pj purchase will be 4K under $5K (prob not DLP as they arent planning on marketing 4K fir HT only large venue like Christie)

I need a little help... In the infocus menu, in image section, there are a few options predefined, but i can not select two of these options, concretly the options ISF DAY and ISF NIGHT. Someone could tell me how can i get acces to these options?

I pass the signal to projector through HDMI, maybe these options are available only on SD signals??

You need the ISF installers code, try searching this code for service mode.

I understand that i need these codes to acces to service menu, but i am not trying to acces to this one, i am talking about the predifined image optios ISF DAY and ISF NIGHT.

I thought that was the whole point of having ISF DAY/NIGHT modes...so they could gouge us another $500 to have it pro-calibrated (even though it doesn't have a CMS!)
